Elements of Design

I love this room! The vaulted window niches create a unique space in the room. It also creates nice lines to contrast the straight lines in the window treatments.

First of all I love the colors of this room. Very nice in contrast. You can split the room in half and it look exactly the same. I love it!

This is the coolest pillow holder ever...probably the only one. I have never seen anything like this before and I really dont see a use or purpose for this other than looks. But it does creat nice lines on  the wall along with the floating bedside table.

Another great room full of lines. I like the placeing of the rug to where the lines make the room look longer. The lights on the wall are a great contrast in their zig zag pattern in comparrison to the straight stripes.
This one is my favorite. I love the pattern on the walls! and the way the light reflects off of them. Sleek lines with the texture of the shag rug, along with the pattern on the wall create a great design.
This is a great example of texture. The placement of the lights above the fireplace create shadows on the texture of the brick creating their own design. Beautiful.

  1. The pictures you chose are all so pretty! I especially love the bedroom you picked. You did a great job at explaining the elements and principles of design while still remaining so casual and still managed to make it sound exactly like you. Keep up the good work!!
